Plants intended for planting are regulated goods. Below we explain which documents accompany our consignments and what the rules require for domestic, EU and non-EU movements.

Plant passport (EU)

Under Regulation (EU) 2016/2031, plants intended for planting moved within the European Union — including distance sales to a final user — must carry a plant passport. The passport is issued by a registered professional operator authorised by the competent authority. In Poland the register of professional operators is kept by the State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service (PIORiN).

Phytosanitary certificate (outside the EU, including Great Britain)

Sending plants for planting outside the European Union requires a phytosanitary certificate issued by the plant protection service of the exporting country, and compliance with the import requirements of the destination country. For Great Britain, imports of plants for planting require a phytosanitary certificate and advance notification of the consignment by the importer through IPAFFS. These rules are subject to change.

Invasive alien species

We do not offer species listed as invasive alien species of Union concern (Regulation (EU) No 1143/2014), nor species covered by national trade bans.

Plant variety rights

Propagating and trading protected varieties requires a licence from the breeder. Varieties covered by plant variety rights are propagated only under an appropriate licence agreement.

Plants are living goods

Size, habit and growth stage vary with the season and may differ from illustrative photographs. We make no promises about establishment or growth rate — these depend on conditions after delivery. Unpacking and storage guidance appears on every product page.

To complete before selling

The registration number in the official register of professional operators (PIORiN), the authorisation number for issuing plant passports and batch numbers are stated on the documents accompanying the consignment. This data must come from the actual registration — it is not estimated here.
